Reichley, Day to Hold College Tuition Funding Seminar
2/19/2010

A College Tuition Assistance Seminar hosted by Reps. Doug Reichley (R-Berks/Lehigh) and Gary Day (R-Berks/Lehigh) will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, at the Upper Macungie Township Building, 8330 Schantz Road in Breinigsville to assist students and parents with understanding college funding opportunities.

Representatives from private and public colleges, the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), Pennsylvania Army National Guard, and the Tuition Assistance Program (NowU) will be in attendance.  Representatives from public and private colleges and universities will also be on hand to answer questions.

“With the cost of tuition, books and room and board constantly rising,” said Reichley.  “Finding out about all the scholarships, grants and loans can be a daunting task.”

Details about some of the many grant and loan programs will be offered, including forms and when to apply, to help parents to plan their child’s higher education future.

“This seminar will help students and parents understand the process and connect them with many different options,” said Day.  “This session can help parents with the application process, and reduce the stress and out-of-pocket costs of higher education.”
